Petter Sydow shares stories and perspectives on the computer games industry. His first failure was with a startup – having three product managers and just one coder. That is how he learned his first lesson: if you don’t have a balanced team, you’re screwed. Second lesson, “avoid extreme control”. Processes are great, but when you’re not allowing people to run with their creativity, and let them be who they are, you don ́t create fun – and what’s entertainment without fun? And finally, “always listen to your team”.f you try avoiding difficult conversations, you might miss the chance to intervene in severe conflicts.
